EVOLUTION SCORING PROFILES
No Crushes & No Damages
VOKORE EVOLUTION SCORING PROFILES for corrugated cardboard ensure clean, even crease lines and are a decisive factor in folding carton production. With our superior scoring profiles , you can achieve optimal creasing, which significantly improves the subsequent folding and gluing process.
The steps spread the pressure evenly over a larger area during creasing. In addition, specially shaped grooves at the top profile, where the pressure is normally greatest, significantly reduce the load. This reliably prevents the corrugated cardboard from bursting or tearing.
The result: continuous, straight creasing without damaging the materials. This ensures a reliable production process, high-quality boxes and fewer complaints.
VOKORE Scoring tools and creasers are manufactured from hardened premium tool steels, meet the tightest tolerances and are available individually according to drawings, samples or customer specifications.

Optimised geometry for clean creasing patterns, can be customised to customer specifications

Crease lines and their influence on the quality of the finished packaging
EVOLUTION Scorers are engineered to deliver precise, clean folds that protect the integrity of the board. By creating controlled score lines, EVOLUTION technology minimizes tearing and cracking, ensuring consistent performance throughout the converting and packing process.
From a structural standpoint, corrugated flutes function like vertical columns within the box. Accurate scoring allows these columns to remain properly aligned when the board is folded, enabling the box to carry vertical loads efficiently and maintain its designed strength.
In contrast, poor scoring compromises this structure. Improper or crushed score lines weaken the flute columns, interrupting their load-bearing function. This significantly reduces Box Compression Test (BCT) performance—even when high-strength ECT material is used—leading to early failure and potential product damage.
Precision scoring isn’t just a process detail—it’s a critical factor in box strength, reliability, and overall quality.
